Meta is shifting its revenue model beyond advertising by selling generative AI software directly to corporate clients through a new unit called Meta Enterprise Platform. The business line integrates tools such as the Muse productivity agent, coding software, and business agents for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger to monetize over $100B of AI infrastructure spending this year. Chirantan "CJ" Desai, the former CEO of MongoDB, will lead the operation as Chief Enterprise Platform Officer and report directly to CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

Desai resigned from MongoDB effective immediately, one day before the company's scheduled investor day, prompting founder Dev Ittycheria to return as interim CEO. MongoDB has reaffirmed its Q3 and FY27 guidance. Desai previously held leadership roles at Cloudflare and ServiceNow. Meta has not yet disclosed pricing for its new enterprise AI offerings.
