OpenAI began rolling out the ability for users to connect multiple personal and professional accounts to most of its AI integrations on Sept. 18. This update allows users to integrate context from different profiles, such as Gmail, Slack, GitHub, and Notion, into a single conversation window. The capability is live across most of the ChatGPT plugin directory, enabling a combined workflow for business and side projects.

Developers can implement the functionality automatically without modifying their code, though OpenAI suggests adding a profile tool to Model Context Protocol servers to label accounts. This tagging system allows the AI to distinguish between distinct user identities, such as a corporate profile and a personal account, when retrieving external data.
