Disruptions to the shipping lanes in the Persian Gulf have forced Qatar's state energy provider to halt fuel deliveries to South Asian buyers. QatarEnergy notified Pakistan and Bangladesh this week that liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment cancellations will run through November, extending a force majeure declaration caused by persistent instability in the Strait of Hormuz.

The suspension also affects buyers in Europe, with shipments canceled into December according to notifications sent to customers. While some vessels have resumed transit through the waterway, operational conditions have not returned to pre-war levels, continuing to limit the producer's ability to fulfill contractual obligations to its global markets.
