Saudi Arabia's ability to circumvent the Strait of Hormuz has been restored following repairs to its primary inland pipeline. The East-West conduit is once again moving crude from the Eastern Province to the Red Sea coast after a mid-September strike forced the shutdown of the route.

President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran denied any involvement by Tehran or Yemen in the hit and suggested that Israel or its agents likely carried out the attack to fuel regional disputes. This contradicts claims from officials in Riyadh and Baghdad, who stated the strike was conducted using drones launched from Iraqi soil.
