The asset management firm Cathie Wood leads is partnering with Securitize to migrate one of its portfolios to the blockchain to modernize how investors access private equity. The $1.3 billion ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) will be issued on the Ethereum network, providing eligible participants exposure to private technology companies including OpenAI, SpaceX, Stripe and Anthropic.

The move is the first of the company's funds to be brought on-chain and enables 24/7 trading of the fund's shares. ARK Invest believes this transition democratizes access to disruptive innovation and supports a broader belief that all financial markets will eventually be tokenized.
