Kalshi submitted a regulatory filing to offer perpetual futures tied to individual US stocks, matching a recent move by Coinbase to introduce crypto-style equity derivatives to the domestic market. These cash-settled contracts provide 24 5 exposure to stocks and operate under the joint jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Coinbase's proposal targets 50 to 60 companies, including Nvidia, Apple and Tesla, with Apple serving as the representative contract for the CFTC filing. The initiative seeks to bring liquid equity perpetual futures to US regulated markets after Coinbase previously offered the instruments to eligible users outside the United States.
