Network participants approved a proposal on Sept. 20 to relaunch the ZETA token as a native SPL asset on Solana. Proposal 68 received 99.4% "yes" votes with a 58% turnout, surpassing the 40% quorum. Token holders will migrate their assets at a 1:1 rate, though decimal precision will be reduced from 18 to 9, resulting in the rounding down of small balances. The native Layer 1 blockchain will remain active until a second proposal is passed to coordinate the snapshot and final shutdown.

ZetaChain is shifting its focus to Anuma, a private multi-model AI application with more than 300,000 users. The team decided that maintaining its own Cosmos-based chain was too expensive and complex compared to Solana's liquidity and AI infrastructure. Solana's transaction speeds of 250 to 400 milliseconds provide a more efficient environment for the network's AI agents.
