A total of $5 million in financial support is headed to relief organizations after a dispute involving the removal of a rapper from a stadium tour. Robert Kraft committed $2 million to humanitarian aid in the Middle East, responding to a challenge from musician Macklemore, who donated $1 million in net earnings from the Loop Tour to six Palestinian groups. Singer Ed Sheeran added $2 million of his own funds to the total following the public outcry.

The contributions follow a period of instability where supporting acts including Finneas, Lukas Graham and Aaron Rowe quit the tour in solidarity with Macklemore. The rapper was dismissed from his opening spot for pro-Palestine comments, which he alleged were targeted by Kraft and other stadium owners who issued an ultimatum to the singer. Kraft did not specify which organizations will receive his $2 million commitment.
