▶The Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei informed Al Jazeera that Tehran transmitted its requirements for ending the current conflict to the US government through diplomatic channels. These terms consist of a 7 point plan including the release of frozen Iranian assets, the lifting of a US naval blockade, and a cessation of fighting on all fronts. Rezaei stated that the message was relayed through mediators in Qatar and Pakistan and that Tehran is currently awaiting a reply from President Donald Trump.
The security chief warned that continued US and Israeli pressure could drive Tehran to exit the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, though no formal decision has been made. Rezaei maintained that Iran still follows the late Supreme Leader’s religious ruling against nuclear weapons but stated that its nuclear posture depends on Washington's future conduct. He added that Iran is prepared for a "decisive war" and is aware of vulnerabilities in the US military.
