Commercial fleet operators such as PepsiCo, DHL, and US Foods have begun receiving the first units of the electric heavy duty truck. Tesla transitioned the Semi into high volume production this week from a manufacturing plant with an installed capacity of 50,000 units per year. Elon Musk confirmed the start of mass manufacturing and commended the engineering team for the delivery rollout.

The vehicle offers a range of over 600 miles on a single charge at half weight or 500 miles at a full 82,000 pound gross combination weight. Tesla intends to put more than 30 Megacharging stations containing 200 MW charging posts online by the end of 2026, complemented by a new Megamanifold heat pump that diverts powertrain heat to warm the driver's cabin.
