Democrat Abdul El-Sayed currently out-polls the Republican challenger for Michigan's 2026 US Senate seat. An Insider Advantage poll of likely voters conducted Sept. 16-17 shows El-Sayed with 46.6% and Mike Rogers with 44.7%, while other candidates capture 3.3%. A victory for El-Sayed would make him the first Muslim member of the US Senate.

Republican Mike Rogers leads among independent voters with 43.1% support compared to 40.1% for El-Sayed. The polling firm's broader look at the 2026 cycle also shows Democratic leads in New Hampshire, where Chris Pappas holds 48% against John Sununu's 40%, and North Carolina, where Roy Cooper leads Michael Whatley 48% to 43%.
