A recent Big Data survey of likely voters shows Abdul El-Sayed ahead of Mike Rogers in the battle for a U.S. Senate seat in Michigan. El-Sayed holds 46.7% support compared to Rogers' 42.1% after the poll, conducted September 22-24, pushed undecided voters toward a candidate. Democrats also lead Republicans 49.5% to 43.1% on a generic congressional ballot in the same survey.

President Donald Trump has a 38.4% approval rating and a 59.5% disapproval rating among Michiganders. The poll further indicates that Democrats are more trusted than Republicans to handle three of the top five voting issues in the state, while Republicans are more trusted on two of seven issues tested.
