This lack of footage follows a commitment from agency leadership last month that all agents would be equipped with bodycams by the end of August. The missing record pertains to the shooting of Wilber Garces Perez, who remains in federal custody after surviving the encounter.

Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are currently leading the probe into the officer involved shooting. Garces Perez, a 28 year old Venezuelan national with a final order of removal, was returned to a medical facility late Monday after experiencing paralysis on the left side of his body, his attorney said.
