1 Ethiopian Army Seizes Alamata First Major Town Since Peace Deal Collapse ⚔️ War Sep 28, 7:40 AM EDT 4/3

▶The Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) and the pro-government Tigray Peace Force took control of the town of Alamata after the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) withdrew its troops. The federal army advanced from Kobo into the city, which serves as the southern gateway to the Tigray region and is located 120 km from the regional capital. Geolocated footage and reports from diplomatic sources confirm the presence of military convoys and government flags in the streets.
Alamata is the first major urban center the federal side has captured since fighting resumed last week following the collapse of a peace agreement. The ENDF may now target the city of Korem next if the TPLF fails to launch a counter-attack. This escalation ends a 4 year period of relative stability in northern Ethiopia.
