A new shipment of financial assistance arrived for Kyiv on Sept. 18 to procure advanced weaponry. The European Union disbursed €3.3 billion for missiles and drones following a phone call between Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This allocation is dedicated specifically to the acquisition of unmanned aerial vehicles and air defense technology.

Von der Leyen stated that the bloc is "stepping up" its military commitments with the latest funding. This payment serves as another tranche of financial support to sustain Ukraine's operational capabilities during the conflict.
