Ansar Allah militia members have entered the southwest of Yemen's Taiz province and gained a foothold in the urban center, according to Iranian state media. The reports claim that Houthi forces now hold strategic heights within the region as fighting intensifies. Independent confirmation of these specific territorial gains has not yet been established, as the conflict remains active across several battlefronts.

The advances follow simultaneous assaults that began on Sept 30, during which the Yemeni government reported killing at least 30 Houthi members and capturing dozens more. Government forces continue to engage fighters in the Bani Bakari area, where observers have identified the use of Soviet T-62 main battle tanks by the Ansar Allah militia.
