1 Houthi Projectile Hits School in Najran as Riyadh Airport Halts Flights ⚔️ War Oct 1, 4:13 PM EDT 68/30
An explosive device launched from Yemen struck a local education center in Saudi Arabia's south, resulting in structural damage and material loss. Civil defense officials in Najran confirmed the hit, while reports from the region indicated that multiple explosions across the capital forced the suspension of air traffic at Riyadh airport. In a simultaneous engagement, the Saudi-led coalition intercepted and destroyed 3 ballistic missiles fired toward Khamis Mushait.
The escalation comes as Saudi warplanes carry out 94 airstrikes and missile attacks over a 24 hour period across Yemeni governorates including Sanaa, Saada, Taiz, and Amran. This brings the total count of strikes launched by the coalition since the current flare-up began to 1,350. The internationally recognized government of Yemen stated these raids targeted high-value Houthi positions, including 27 strikes specifically in Taiz that destroyed military vehicles.
