Ansar Allah forces have taken control of the Safiya junction, creating a military perimeter around the administration center's only access points. The seizure of the junction has severed the main artery to Aden, leaving the population and military units entirely encircled. These advances are the latest stage of simultaneous raids across several fronts in Yemen's southwestern Taiz province that began on Sept 30.

The Yemeni government claims to have killed at least 30 Houthi members and wounded dozens more while repelling assaults in the Bani Bakari area. Government forces report the destruction of militia military equipment, including a Soviet T-62 main battle tank. While Iranian state media reports that the militia now holds strategic heights and parts of the city center, independent confirmation of these territorial gains remains limited.
