The Ukrainian capital experienced a wave of explosions on Wednesday that struck power grids and a maternity hospital. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that two people died and others were injured during the raid, which targeted residential areas and logistics hubs. The attack involved at least 20 ballistic missiles—including Zircon and Iskander-M variants—launched within 30 minutes while Zelenskyy was meeting with US Congress members to discuss sanctions and the "Lindsey Graham law" to obtain more interceptors.

Russia expanded the assault by deploying over 100 Geran-2 drones and several Geran-5 jet-drones against the Rivne and Ternopil Oblasts in western Ukraine.
