Military aircraft from Saudi Arabia launched at least six missions over the Yemeni capital on Friday, targeting Jabal Attan in the south and other sites in Sana'a. The operation included additional strikes on communication networks in the Saqayn and Haydan districts of Saada province in response to a Houthi ballistic missile attack against a fuel processing facility in Riyadh.

The Saudi Aramco refinery in Riyadh, which has a refining capacity of 126,000 BPD, caught fire around 05:00 UTC, an event confirmed by intense thermal hits on NASA FIRMS satellite imagery. While the Saudi Ministry of Defense reported that a missile fragment fell near the plant, reports and circulating footage indicate a direct hit on the main refinery with large amounts of oil leaking from the site. The assault also caused temporary disruption to flight operations at King Khalid International Airport.
