The Saudi military launched air operations over Yemen's capital on Friday after a projectile hit the vicinity of a Riyadh fuel plant. The Saudi Ministry of Defense stated that a fragment of a ballistic missile fell near the targeted facility, which processes 126,000 BPD, while retaliatory strikes targeted sites in Sana'a to counter the aggression.

Fires at the Aramco facility were detected at 05:00 UTC, with NASA FIRMS satellite data showing intense thermal activity across the site. Ansarallah militants in Yemen claimed responsibility for the ballistic missile strikes, which occurred alongside reports of disrupted flight operations in the Riyadh Province. While pro-Iranian media reported a direct hit on the main refinery, Saudi officials had initially withheld confirmation of the damage scale.
