The first deliveries of offensive weapons and armor spare parts reached Ukraine this month. The Trump administration has allocated $307 million of a $400 million military aid fund through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, with the remaining $93 million expected to be under contract by the September 30 expiration date to ensure the funds do not lapse.

The current commitments exclude Patriot missiles despite continued Ukrainian requests for additional air defense systems. Due to production and logistics, some of the equipment secured under this congressional funding may not arrive in Ukraine until 2029.
