The windows of a metro train were shattered on Oct 1 when an attack targeted a central river crossing in the Ukrainian capital. Debris from the explosions hit the carriage as it was traversing the structure, causing glass to break in at least one part of the train.

The city's mayor confirmed that two Russian drones struck the Pivdennyi Bridge, which is one of the primary transport links crossing the Dnipro to connect the capital's left and right banks. Local reports identified one of the munitions as a Shahed drone and noted that both impacts hit the bridge's supporting pillars.
