London committed £100 million ($135 million) to enhance Kiev's ability to repel aerial attacks through the end of the year. The winter air defense package includes Patriot missiles, interceptors, drones, and large-caliber artillery shells based on priority needs identified through NATO's PURL initiative. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Berlin will also deliver PAC-2 Patriot and AIM-9 missiles from Bundeswehr stocks.

The European Union authorized Ukraine to spend part of a $105 billion loan on US-made Patriot systems as the government seeks to contract around 1,000 interceptor missiles. Germany is providing tens of thousands of long-range artillery shells, and Kiev is ordering several thousand IRIS-T missiles using EU funding.
