Emergency sirens sounded throughout the capital on Saturday morning after Yemen's Houthis launched a wide-reaching aerial campaign. An eyewitness told Reuters that flames and a large plume of black smoke rose near Riyadh's airport, and AFP journalists reported hearing explosions in the city early in the day. Saudi civil defense authorities eventually issued an all-clear for the region after the danger had passed.

The offensive spanned multiple governorates, including Jeddah, Taif, Yanbu, AlUla, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Abha, and Farasan. Riyadh and Al-Kharj were each targeted twice during the strikes, which occurred on day 203 of the conflict. These alerts represent the first time the capital was warned of an incoming attack since the height of the US-Iran war in March and April.
