Russia launched a coordinated wave of roughly 28 missiles and multiple drones targeting oil, chemical, and metallurgical plants across Ukraine, killing at least five people. Strikes hit the Kremenchuk Oil Refinery, the Pavlohrad Chemical Plant, and the Kryvyi Rih Metallurgical Plant, while a Naftogaz oil and gas facility in the Poltava region suffered critical damage that the company described as effectively impossible to restore. In Chernihiv, drone attacks on electrical substations left around 100,000 residents without power, and at least four internet providers in Kyiv suffered partial connectivity losses.

The offensive occurred one day after Ukraine conducted one of its largest drone attacks on Russian oil infrastructure in Moscow. In Kyiv, jet powered Geran 4 and Geran 5 drones carried out at least nine strikes on Wednesday morning, targeting petrol stations, a data center, and the area surrounding the central railway station, leaving two dead and 25 injured. Other strikes targeted logistics centers and civilian warehouses in Odesa and a shopping mall in Zaporizhzhia that was engulfed in a blaze covering 6,000 square meters.
