Russian drones hit electrical substations in Ukraine's Chernihiv region overnight into Sept. 22, cutting power to about 100,000 residents as a broader missile and drone attack struck industrial facilities. Strikes hit Kryvyi Rih, Kremenchuk, Dnipro and Pavlohrad, with large fires burning in eastern Dnipro.

A preliminary estimate from AMK Mapping put the barrage at roughly 28 ballistic and cruise missiles, including Oniks-M, Zircon, Kalibr, KN-23 and Iskander-M systems, plus about eight Banderol cruise missiles targeting Kremenchuk. AMK Mapping reported hits on the Kryvyi Rih Metallurgical Plant, Pavlohrad Chemical Plant, Kremenchuk Oil Refinery and an unidentified industrial site in eastern Dnipro.

In the Odesa region, drones struck a warehouse in Usatove, causing a large fire, and targeted the vicinity of Odesa Port. Drone strikes also caused large fires at sites in or near four cities in the Vinnytsia region.
