Two Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles were among about 19 missiles Russia launched at energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, AMK Mapping reported in an updated estimate. The account also identified the Kyiv Hydroelectric Power Plant in Vyshhorod as a target, alongside CHP-5 in southern Kyiv, Trypillya in Ukrainka and likely CHP-6 in northeastern Kyiv.

The estimated missile count also included six Oniks-M supersonic cruise missiles, four KN-23 ballistic missiles, four RM-48U modified S-400 ballistic missiles and three Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Dozens of Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet drones accompanied the barrage. AMK Mapping said it could confirm one interception, of an Oniks missile by a Patriot PAC-3 interceptor, rather than giving a total for missiles shot down.

The overnight attacks caused large fires at power plants and left parts of the capital without electricity. They followed Monday’s drone strikes on Kyiv, which killed two people and injured 26 across the city, hitting the National Academy of Sciences and the Dobrobut medical center.
