The Saudi capital experienced an aerial defense operation on Friday when regional forces neutralized threats in the city's airspace. The Saudi-led coalition stated it intercepted two drones launched by Houthi forces toward Riyadh on Sept. 26.

Local sources reported that audible explosions occurred without prior warning before the coalition's public announcement. The military operation stopped the pair of unmanned vehicles from reaching their intended targets in the city.
