A suicide car bomber targeted the Old Police Lines gate in Kohat during Friday prayers on Sept. 18. At least 27 people died and 75 others were wounded after the explosives-laden vehicle detonated near a mosque inside the police headquarters, Al Jazeera reported. Armed attackers attempted to storm the facility immediately after the initial blast to continue the assault.

The bombing occurred in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwestern Pakistan. Türkiye condemned the attack and extended condolences to the victims through its Foreign Ministry. Kohat District Hospital officials confirmed the arrival of 15 bodies shortly after the incident, while police stated a suspected attacker was killed in the explosion.
