Israel is directing all Flydubai flights landing at Ben Gurion Airport to a separate holding area for security inspections to check for a broader incident after the suspected attack aboard flight FZ1073, N12 reported. The Dubai to Tel Aviv flight diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, on Sept. 30 after transmitting emergency and unlawful interference signals.

An additional crew of pilots traveling as civilian passengers for routine training took control of the aircraft and stabilized it, N12's Yaron Avraham reported. Channel 14 identified the pilot alleged to have put the aircraft into a dive as an Omani citizen and the other pilot as a UAE citizen, differing from earlier reports that the cockpit crew were Russian and Ukrainian.

Israeli authorities are treating the incident as a suspected terrorist attack, N12's Amit Segal reported, citing assessments and passenger testimony. The co-pilot allegedly stabbed the captain repeatedly before passengers and crew subdued him. A senior official told Segal that investigators increasingly suspect he intended to seize the aircraft and crash it with passengers aboard. Flydubai confirmed the plane landed safely and all passengers were safe and accounted for.
