Hundreds of demonstrators have obstructed a road leading into a Catholic residential district in Northern Ireland to stop a Protestant organization from marching through the town. The activists have physically blocked the access point to prevent the procession from entering the community despite recent judicial clearances.

The blockade follows a series of legal rulings, including a High Court decision to dismiss the final challenge to the route and an appeals court decision to overturn a Saturday injunction. The appeals court determined that the judge who originally banned the Drumcree Protestant parade had "erred in law," effectively permitting the march to proceed through the Catholic area this Sunday.
