Ukraine Denies Western Embassy Exits After Russia Paralyzes Kyiv Bridges

The Ukrainian government has officially rejected claims that foreign diplomatic missions are fleeing the capital for safer regions or neighboring Poland. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi confirmed that no foreign embassies have submitted notices to relocate, contradicting earlier reports of a coordinated withdrawal. This denial comes as the city struggles to manage a transport collapse following a series of targeted drone attacks on civilian and logistics infrastructure.

Russian forces deployed Geran-4 and Geran-5 jet-powered drones with specialized cutter warheads to strike the Northern and Southern bridges over the Dnipro river. The Southern crossing was hit four times in two days, while damage to the Northern Bridge's roadway and trolleybus power lines has halted traffic from the left to the right bank. Although air defenses intercepted 88 of 108 drones in a recent raid, the cumulative strikes have paralyzed the city, forcing some residents to walk across bridges to reach their workplaces.
